5-Stand in Peoria
Five Stand is a type of shotgun sport shooting similar to sporting clays. There are five stations and we currently have ten strategically placed traps throwing a mix of targets.
Shooters shoot in turn at various combinations of clay birds. Each station will have a menu card that lets the shooter know the sequence of clay birds (i.e. which trap the clay bird will be coming from).
The shooter is presented with 5 targets at each station, first a single bird followed by two pairs.
Pairs can be either "report pairs," in which the second bird will be launched after the shooter fires at the first, or "true pairs" when both birds launch at the same time.
After shooting at the 5 birds on the menu at that station, the shooter proceeds to the next stand, where they find a new menu of 5 targets.

October 9, 2025 Update:
In collaboration with Oak Ridge Sportsman’s Club, the Fall, 2 Club 5-Stand League is now underway.
This is an 8-week league, alternating shooting on a weekly basis between PS&T and Oak Ridge. Cost is $20 per week. Youth (under 18) can shoot for half-price ($10 per week).
You can shoot ahead or make-up as required.
At Oak Ridge you will shoot a round of 5-Stand and a round of Wobble Trap. At PS&T you will shoot a round of 5-Stand and round of FITASC (a popular “new” game, where you call for the target with your gun below shoulder level) - and which also utilizes the 5-Stand traps.
